Abstract: The problem of radiative heat transfer to magnetohydrodynamic Couette flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid confined between infinite parallel conducting walls with variable walls temperature has been studied. An exact solution of the governing equations has been obtained in a closed form. It is found that the velocity at any point decreases while the temperature at any point increases with an increase in wall conductance. The induced magnetic field is strongly affected by the magnetic field as well as wall conductances. Further, the critical Eckert number for which there is no flow of heat either from walls to the fluid or fluid to the walls has been obtained. It is found that the critical Eckert number at the upper wall increases with an increase in either wall conductance parameter or radiation parameter.
