Abstract: The direct current electrical transport properties of Polyaniline-Cobalt chloride nanocomposite is investigated in the present article. The X-ray diffraction pattern exhibits the presence cobalt chloride in the nanocomposite and also gives average size of the nanocomposite. Uniform morphology of the nanocomposite is obtained from Scanning Electron Microscopy. The dc transport property of the samples has been measured within a temperature range 77-300 K in presence and in absence of a transverse magnetic field up to 1Tesla.The dc conductivity has been explained in terms of the variable range hopping theory and the negative dc magnetoconductivity is found to follow the wave function shrinkage model.
