Abstract: An analytical study was considered on the strategy of attaining a desired rise of temperatureχ * at a particular point of location of the tumour 1 x = x situated inside the muscle during a fixed time T by controlling optimally time dependent heating power ( ) 2 Q t (wm−2 ) applied on the surface of the tissue consisting of skin , fat, muscle, point tumour, muscle given in Fig A when the surface cooling temperature is taken as constant throughout the entire tissue with the aid of finite difference method and Maximal Principle under calculus of variation.
