dc.description.abstractThe key objective of this study is to explore the significant factors influencing Organizational Learning in Insurance Industry and also to compare whether those factors are similar or different in inducing Organizational Learning in Banking Industry. The methodology adopted is based on descriptive research followed by questionnaire method of survey. The responses of 250 sample respondents chosen through simple random sampling have been examined through descriptive statistics and principal component analysis through SPSS. Findings revealed that the factors which influences organizational learning in insurance industry are Trust and Support, Employee Participation, Communication, Organizational Structure/Design, Organizational Culture, Performance Appraisal, Flexibility, Knowledge Creation, Organizational Commitment, Information Technology. Correspondingly, it is evident by comparing these factors with the factors derived from literatures of banking industry that there is absence of colossal difference between them and as such it can be established that factors supporting organizational learning in both banking as well as insurance industry are nearly alike. Scope of the research is limited to insurance industry of South Assam, India.en_US
