Abstract: Dance serves as a rich cultural text, a repository bearing the impressions of the evolving discourses concerning the body. This paper focuses on the challenges and politics associated with the representation of the male dancing body in Bollywood, while particularly taking into consideration the twenty-first century Bollywood dance numbers.
