Substituted M-type calcium hexaferrite, Ca(CoSn)xFe(12−2x)O19, as a function of doping rate (x=1,3,4) was synthesized by sol-gel method. The X-Ray diffraction reveals that the crystal has hexagonal symmetry with space group P63/mmc (No.194) with two formula units per unit cell. Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) studies affirmed the particle size in nanometer range. The Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) studies of the as grown samples suggested that the saturation magnetization (Ms) increases with substitution. It was also found that the parameters Hc, Tc and SQR were known to decrease with doping degree.en_US
