In the present work a simple and cost effective chemical reduction route was followed to synthesize the CdSe nanostructures by varying growth temperatures. The prime aim of this work is to find the effect of temperature on structural and optical properties of CdSe nanocrystalline material. The samples grown with different temperatures were characterized structurally using TEM, TED and EDX. The surface morphologies of the samples were studied using FESEM. Photoluminescence properties and photo absorption properties were also studied for a better understanding of the size confinement effect of the CdSe nanostructures.en_US
